The Young and the Restless Comings and Goings: New Leading Man Casting Call – Exit Fears for One Y&R Star
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that we’ve got some comings and goings news to pass along, so let’s talk about what’s happening behind the scenes. It looks like Y&R could be gaining a new hunk, but could they also be losing one?
According to Soap Hub, the show has put out a casting call for a Black male in his early to mid-40s.
They’re looking for someone tall and handsome to play a character who could stick around under a potential three-year contract if all goes well.
However, it’s the description of what this character’s like that really catches our attention.
This new guy is supposed to be “passionate, charming, wry, and capable of a dark side.”
Doesn’t that sound exactly like Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic)?
Would the show really create a character identical to Nate or does this casting call actually point to a Nate recast?
There’s been some speculation about Sean Dominic potentially joining The Gates since he’d certainly be a great leading man for CBS’ newest soap opera.
If Dominic does soap hop, then someone else may be sliding in Nate’s shoes on Y&R.
It’s too early to say anything for sure, but we’ll keep an eye on the situation and bring you updates as more details become available.
In the meantime, let’s talk about some familiar faces that’ll be part of the drama during the week of July 15-19.
Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) and Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) will appear again as Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) has a major breakthrough with her younger sister.
The show’s wrapping up the sibling tension, so that’ll be a relief for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) since she’s been struggling to get Katie to accept Claire.
Vail Bloom will also pop back up as Heather Stevens, so look for Heather to share surprising news with Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei).
Heather and Daniel talked about perhaps taking a family trip to Portugal, but could their plans change?
It’s possible Heather will leave on her own to support Paul Williams (Doug Davidson), especially if Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) doesn’t want to go and insists on staying in town with Daniel.
Then again, Heather might end up staying in town too if Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) asks her for help with Harrison Abbott’s (Redding Munsell) custody case.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Heather will make a decision and fill Daniel in, so we’ll bring you more predictions on what’s ahead for their family.
