Young & Restless’ Mark Grossman Teases the Game-Changing Twist That Could Turn ‘Chadam’s’ Mess Into a Downright Disaster

Young & Restless’ Adam is well-known for being his own worst enemy and it’s hard to imagine how the situation he’s currently landed himself in could possibly get worse, but trust us when we tell you, it absolutely could. Adam’s portrayer Mark Grossman spoke to SOAPS about a development that “wouldn’t exactly be ideal,” but could easily be the next big shocker in this storyline!

As the dust settles on the shocking confessions of both Chelsea and Adam, who were forced to tell their significant others that they’d cheated in Baltimore, it becomes clear that both of these couples are in grave danger of losing their relationships entirely. It’s a mess to end all messes!

Given the way this played out, there’s probably a decent chance Billy will forgive Chelsea. He could see how tortured she was by the guilt and she eventually came clean. For Sally, however, there’s almost no way forward with Adam, who added insult to injury by gaslighting her and lying to her face when asked point blank if he’d slept with his ex. Making matters even worse, he admitted that love was involved in what happened between him and Chelsea. That’s gotta pinch.

Believe it or not, there’s a possible twist ahead that could make things even more dismal for “Ally” and flush any potential “Chelly” reunion down the toilet with quickness. Yep, a full-on, downright disaster. What could we possibly be referring to? Why, Chelsea finding out she’s pregnant, of course.

Grossman weighed in on the potential twist by musing, “If it turned out she was pregnant from their encounter, for lack of a better word, that would be interesting.”

Elaborating on why it would be “interesting” rather than downright disastrous, the actor explained, “It’s always in the back of Adam’s mind, you know, that he wants to build a happy family. He would want to try and put his family back together.”

But under the circumstances, this would be an added complication he doesn’t need, right? Grossman sees it differently, “He would welcome another child, because obviously so much of his character and his issues has to do with his broken family and wanting his own healthy family — whatever that might be in his mind!”

With all of that said, Grossman did acknowledge that Chelsea coming up pregnant amid the current mess wouldn’t be the best way for it to go down. He reflected, “Losing Ava had a huge impact on him so while Chelsea getting pregnant wouldn’t exactly be ideal, he would probably see it as a good thing. After all, he has to catch up to Nick, right?”

If you can’t see how this would make this messy mess into a downright disaster, let us spell it out for ya’. Sally, who just marked the one-year anniversary of losing her baby with Adam, would be beyond devastated to learn that he and Chelsea were expecting a child together. Billy, even if he was able to forgive Chelsea and get back together with her, would be loathe to stay in the picture while she was carrying the baby of his arch-enemy. It would almost certainly be a deal-breaker.

This would leave Adam and Chelsea crushed and pining for their significant others… or turning to each other again and reconciling, which would be a boon for “Chadam” fans. So, perhaps it’s not all bad after all.
