The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) and Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) are gearing up for a fall wedding that’s sure to be a memorable event.

Since November 13 is Abby’s birthday, she got on board with Devon’s idea to have the nuptials then.

Of course, we can’t ignore the fact that this wedding will be happening during November sweeps.

Based on soap rules, you don’t have a boring marriage ceremony during that time period. We have to believe this wedding will come with a major shocker or two.

November sweeps is the perfect time for soaps to pull out all the stops and deliver some wild surprises, so what if there’s indeed a surprise brewing at Devon and Abby’s nuptials?

It’d be fun if a wedding crasher came along to interrupt the festivities.

In 2018, Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) seemingly succumbed to her injuries after Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) caused the car crash that ultimately ended her life.

However, things aren’t always as they seem on soaps! Whenever a soap wants to switch it up and create some new drama, that’s when rewrites happen.

It didn’t make sense when Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) came back from the dead, but Y&R did it anyway!

Likewise, they rewrote it so Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) deceased baby girl survived – and that gave us Claire Grace (Hayley Erin).

There’s no reason the show can’t undo Hilary’s demise with some wild explanation, too.

Hilary was a fantastic character who’s still missed to this day, so imagine how exciting it’d be if she crashed Devon’s wedding to Abby wanting him back.

Perhaps Hilary could have some stunning tale of how she survived and where she’s been all this time.

Even if Y&R can’t get Mishael Morgan to sign on for a lengthy contract, she could still come back as Hilary long enough to unleash some chaos.

Devon could choose Abby in the end while Hilary leaves town to bond with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), the twin sister she never knew she had.

It was arguably a huge mistake to kill off Hilary Curtis Hamilton, who was always one of the CBS soap’s most entertaining characters.

The show could right that wrong now by letting Hilary come home to cause some mayhem.
