Dinner Disaster for Kyle & Claire – Diane & Jack’s Shocking Arrival Throws the Evening into Turmoil!

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will deal with more Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) drama before trying to iron out a deal with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). It’s clear that Kyle’s got his hands full when it comes to his former flames and all the strong opinions they bring to the table.

That’s why Kyle will need some time to relax with someone he feels comfortable with. Of course, we’re talking about Claire Grace (Hayley Erin), who’ll apparently accept Kyle’s invitation to join her for dinner at Society.

Claire is crushing on Kyle, but she’s never been in a serious romantic relationship before and isn’t quite sure how to process what she’s feeling.

Since Kyle is Claire’s boss, she doesn’t see the point in trying to decipher what’s in her heart anyway.

In other words, it looks like this will just be another dinner between friends for now.

Kyle might take this opportunity to open up about the latest Harrison Abbott (Reddig Munsell) custody developments – or maybe he’ll want a distraction from all that instead.

Either way, Kyle and Claire’s evening will be derailed soon enough.

It turns out there’ll be a couple of dinner crashers who show up and sour the mood as far as Kyle’s concerned.

Y&R spoilers say Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will arrive with Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters), so they’ll immediately notice Claire and Kyle having a pleasant time together.

It won’t take long for Diane and Jack to approach Kyle’s table with Claire, especially since Diane will be hoping to make amends with her son.

Although Diane made some minor progress by calling Kyle about Harrison’s stomach issue and stopping his Paris trip, it was just a tiny baby step.

Diane has much more work to do if she wants to win Kyle over.

Will Diane hope to use Claire to her advantage? It’s easy to imagine Diane pushing Claire to help her make things right with Kyle since Claire’s opinion matters so much to him.

Claire won’t want to pressure Kyle when it comes to his mother, but she might understand Diane’s perspective on some level.

Since Claire is someone who’s been forgiven for terrible things, she knows that’s an amazing feeling and will forever be grateful for her own family’s compassion.

Claire is particularly thankful to have Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) in her life, so part of her may want to help Kyle and Diane fix things, too.

However, Diane will also do some scheming with Jack during the week of August 19-23.

That’ll involve playing dirty to get Kyle out of Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) grasp, so Diane had better be careful or she could make things worse!
