What *Really* Happened Behind the Scenes Between Young & Restless’ Sharon and Cameron

Last week, The Young and the Restless viewers got their first look when Sharon’s past came back to haunt her in the form of Cameron Kirsten, a man who terrorized her in some of the worst ways possible. And for those who watched the CBS soap way back when, just the sight of him would give anyone chills.
It all started when Sharon went off her meds and first heard Cameron’s voice saying, “You can try and run from what’s happening, Sharon, but you can’t hide.” When she saw him standing in her living room, Sharon made it clear she knew he wasn’t real but nonetheless, he taunted her over and over again…
Cameron may have spooked Sharon in Genoa City but in the real world, when the cameras stopped rolling, his portrayer, Linden Ashby, wrapped his arms around Sharon Case and the two castmates smiled for the cameras, clearly happy to be working together again, as pictured in the third photo below.
And one fan, Leah, who commented under the CBS soap’s post, said it best, “I love to think that in real life he’s a sweetheart! “ to which another fan, Lisa Woltz, replied, “Yes, his marriage to Susan Walters (Diane) has lasted for years.” In fact, they’ve been married for 38 years and first met on the set of another soap.
