At Society, Victor tells Nikki that Lily is staying on at Chancellor. He doesn’t think Devon likes it, but his loss could be their gain. Nikki agrees; she knows the company and has taken it to new heights. She worries she won’t want to stick around or will get hurt. Victor thinks they can make sure that doesn’t happen, by ensuring she doesn’t get caught up in Billy’s inevitable downward spiral. Billy comes in and orders a drink. Nikki muses that it seems the spiraling has already begun.

Billy walks over and says, “So, Victor. I hear you think I’m going to run Chancellor Industries into the ground.” Victor has no doubt. Billy needles that he, being the vulture he is, will swoop in and pick up the carcass, “Is that right?” Victor calls him paranoid and asks why he’d clean up his mess. Billy heard about his conversation with Devon. He notes that Lily thinks he’ll look out for her, which they both know is a crock. Victor mocks the name Abbott-Chancellor as terrible. Billy asks if Nikki knows about his little plan. “I can’t imagine you’d go along with that.”

Nikki doesn’t think Katherine would be pleased with the state of the company. She asks if Jack knows about the name change. Billy doesn’t need Jack’s permission. Nikki says it’s disrespectful to put his name ahead of Katherine’s. Billy sees she’s drinking Victor’s kool-aid again. Victor says Devon thinks Abbott-Chancellor is a terrible idea, as it is for Lily to work alongside him. Nikki says they look out for Neil’s children. Billy snarks. Victor booms that they were very dear friends of Katherine’s and they won’t let her company go down because of his hubris.

At Crimson Lights, Lucy spots Faith and asks, “What’s up?” Faith is grabbing drinks for her and her mom. Lucy guesses she didn’t see her text about the pool party the other night, but she’s dying to know what she missed. Faith says it was just a bunch of kids swimming and taking selfies. She apologizes for uninviting her and reiterates it was a college crowd. She tells Lucy she has to get going, but Lucy invites her to see a band tonight. Faith pauses awkwardly and then says she has plans. Lucy makes a hasty retreat and Faith feels bad. She says, “Hey Luce, why don’t you tell me about that really cool band?”

Tessa arrives at the park and tells Mariah she was expecting a romantic surprise. Mariah is sorry, but what she is dealing with right now is scarier than the horror movie from their first date. They sit, and Mariah updates her wife on the situation with her mother. Tessa says, “I’m sorry, babe.” Mariah tells Tessa that they did a mini-intervention and she agreed to take better care of herself. She’s going to go away to get some rest. Tessa thinks this sounds positive. Mariah says when she’s gone, she’s taking over at Cassidy First. Tessa’s sure she’ll kill it. She wants to do something for Sharon and suggests they go over and visit with Aria, who has started calling her Meemaw. Mariah doesn’t think that’s a good idea. Every time her mom sees her, she’s reminded of Cassie and the life she never got to live.

Mariah says Sharon had such big dreams for Cassie, who could she not look at her and think that those are things that Cassie should have too. Even Aria is a reminder of the kids that Cassie never got to have. Tessa asks if she’s talked to Sharon about this. Mariah says she brought it up today. She said she loves her for her, but she’s been avoiding her lately. Tessa thinks she probably doesn’t want to worry her. This seems serious. Mariah cries that her mom is suffering and she doesn’t know how to help her.

At Sharon’s place, she hallucinates Cameron saying he’s sorry he hasn’t had a chance to clean up since she killed him. She says she knows he’s not real. Cameron says that’s right. He notes that when he was alive he wanted to be in her heart, but now that he’s dead, he’ll have to settle for being in her head. Sharon cringes. She jumps up and orders him to get the hell out. Cameron wants a kiss like Nick got. Sharon picks up a statue and threatens to hit him. A knock comes at the door. Cameron says maybe that’s Faith. “Your little girl must have grown since the last time I saw her.” He disappears and Sharon goes to open the door. It’s Daniel. She says, “You’re really here?” Daniel figures he’s the last person she wants to see right now.

Daniel offers to leave if it’s a bad time. Sharon picks up the chair she knocked over and tells him to take a seat. “What’s on your mind?” Daniel asks, “Did you know our daughters were becoming friends?” Sharon says it’s very sweet. Daniel asks how she feels about it. He points out this isn’t about Lucy, it’s about him. He knows he’s not her favorite person. Sharon says Lucy is her own person and Faith picks her own friends. Daniel knows that she’s been missing Cassie a lot recently. Sharon says it’s nothing new. Daniel thought he should try to avoid her. Sharon says the accident was a long time ago. Daniel gets the impression it still feels fresh. “Instead of trying to avoid you, or avoid what I’ve been feeling about Cassie, I thought I should do the opposite.” Sharon asks what that means. Daniel tells her he made a game to reconnect with his daughter. What if he could make a new game to help her connect with hers?

Sharon’s not sure she’s understanding him. Daniel explains the game might help her heal. Sharon questions if it would help her process the grief. Daniel would never presume to tell her how to do that. His idea is that the game would help young people deal with heavy feelings. Sharon tells him the other game he made with Chelsea was impressive. Daniel thinks it could be a way to honor Cassie. It could be something students could use in school. Sharon assures him that his offer is lovely, but he’d have to talk to Mariah about it. She’ll be taking over Cassidy First while she regroups. Daniel says he saw Mariah, Faith, and Nick talking about how worried they are about her. He didn’t come to invade her space, he just hopes that their conversation isn’t why he having to take time away. Sharon says the grief is always with her, she just hasn’t been handling it well lately. His offer is gracious but won’t stop her from having these feelings, or him either. Daniel knows that. Sharon thinks they each need to find a way to deal with their responsibility in her death.

At Society, Victor tells Billy his mother made a mistake when she put him in charge of Chancellor, just as she did when she put him in charge of Chance Comm. Billy warns Victor not to talk about his mother, and says he’ll be the spectacular failure if he comes for the company. He walks off and Nikki says she can only imagine how he’ll react when he hears that she’s the one taking his job. They discuss how Johnny and Katie will take it. Nikki says Victoria will handle the fallout and she’ll support her.

Across the room, Billy calls Lily at the office and tells her, “We’ve got a party to plan.”

At her place, Sharon is on the phone making plans for a week away in the desert to recharge. She disconnects and suddenly Cameron is there again. Sharon tells herself that she can’t allow these intrusive thoughts. “When I open my eyes you’ll be gone.” He’s still there. Cameron chuckles, “Did you really think you could get rid of me that easily?”

At Crimson Lights, Faith and Lucy chat as they talk about bands they like. Faith decides she’ll go with her tonight. Lucy asks what about her plans with her mom. Faith says she’s been tired lately, they can do it another time. Daniel appears and learns Faith is going with his daughter tonight. He clearly thought he was going with her. At Chancellor, Billy tells Lily they need to make a splash for Abbott-Chancellor. A launch party. Lily wonders if he’s sending a message to her brother. Billy says Devon doesn’t want to see her fail. Lily nods, “But Victor does.” She reminds Billy he told her Victor wasn’t a threat, so what’s changed. Billy admits he ran into him. He’s waiting for them to fail miserably but that’s not going to happen. He confronted him because he wanted Victor to know they know what he’s planning. When he comes after Chancellor, they’ll be ready. He wants a classy party that will make a statement. Lily fears he’s letting his personal feelings about Victor cloud his judgement. Billy insists this is business and will be great for Abbott-Chancellor.

In Victor’s office, Nikki sniffs about how predictable Billy is. Victor tells her things are going to happen quickly. She’s been brushing up on Chancellor, and teases that he loves this stuff. Victor says that other than his family, this is what he lives for.

In her house, Cameron needles Sharon that the thoughts never really go away. She asks herself why she’s thinking about him. He says, “You brought this on yourself, babe.” She snaps, “Don’t call me that!” Cameron explains by naming his company Cassidy First she made a permanent connection between him and her late daughter in her brain. “And right now, we’re having a party in the deepest, darkest corners of your beautiful mind. Just me, Cassie, and good ol’ Nick Newman.” He’s flattered that he was invited to hang with two of her greatest loves.

Cameron tells her Nick doesn’t want her anymore. “You used to be so strong, and now you’re fragile. You’re damaged goods, girl. Why would any man want you?” Sharon, rattled, says he’s just giving voice to her insecurities. Cameron asks why she thinks she’s thinking about him. “I’m already dead, but I’m dying to know.” Sharon thinks it’s because of the trauma he inflicted on her by trying to take Faith away after Cassie. She’s going away to find some peace and will deal with these feelings in a healthy way. Cameron backs her up and says she can run but she can’t hide. Pointing to her head, he says, “I will still be right here.” He needles that she’s wrong about the reason why he’s there. She asks, “Tell me why.” He can’t do that, or he’ll disappear. He’s going to hang around. A knock comes at the door and Cameron vanishes. Sharon looks spooked.

Faith comes in and says Sharon looks flushed. She claims she was just making a list of things to pack for her trip. Faith is worried. Sharon tells her she called a spa retreat in Sedona she’s been to before. Faith thinks it sounds perfect. Sharon senses something is off with her daughter and asks about it. Faith says she thinks that she may have just made a mistake with Lucy Romalotti.

At Crimson Lights, Daniel reminds Lucy that he told her she had to go to the concert with an adult. Lucy begs him to let her go with Faith, who is responsible. He asks her about lying that he couldn’t make it. Lucy says the words just came out of her mouth when she saw her. Daniel talks about hanging out with kids her own age. He doesn’t think she should expect too much from Faith or she’ll get disappointed, “Like you did with your epic pool party.” He knows she didn’t go. Daniel warns her not to lie a third time. He found out by chance. Daniel warns that a friendship with Faith is not something she should count on right now. Lucy pleads to at least go to the concert with her. Daniel relents. Lucy’s thrilled.
