We would like to take a moment to send our congratulations out to The Young and the Restless alum Chris McKenna (ex-Detective Harding) and his wife Lovisa Jansson on the birth of their first child. Their little baby boy, Spencer J. McKenna, was born on July 26, and is absolutely beautiful!

The former soap star posted four photos and a video to announce his son’s birth… everything from Spencer’s first hospital pic, to a snap of dad holding his new baby in his arms and to Spencer and his mama getting some much-deserved rest. And a video showed McKenna carrying his son toward the door as he was snuggled up safely in his car seat, presumably on his way home.

“My incredible wife Lovisa begged out of these photos,” McKenna shared then went on to express that “she was absolutely amazing.”

One of his former Genoa City castmates, Greg Rikaart (Kevin; Days of Our Lives’ Leo), jumped into the comments and cheered, “Dude! Huge congrats to you all! Incredible.”

Back in January, the actor announced, “Baby McKenna coming this summer,” and shared a video of the couple’s cute gender reveal.”

And in May, he sent a big “thank you to everyone who came to the baby shower” and relayed how “lovely” it was.

Though McKenna, who’s best known for playing Joey Buchanan on One Life to Live, left daytime behind after his Young & Restless role, followed by a brief appearance on The Bold and the Beautiful as Dr. Hayden, he turned up in numerous primetime shows, including Good Trouble, Chicago Fire, The Blacklist and NCIS to name a few.
