General Hospital’s Réal Andrews Teases ‘Huge’ Comeback: ‘I’m Not Able to Talk About It Right Now, But… ’
The last time viewers saw Réal Andrews’ Taggert on General Hospital was back in July of 2023 and now the vet has spoken out about his status at the ABC soap. In an Instagram video, Andrews opened up about the truth behind his recent daytime journey and stated, “My chapter with General Hospital is over.” He went on to say that the writing had been on the wall for a long time now but that it had been an incredible journey.
After being off screen for over a year, many suspected he had been let go but his fans still held hope that they would see Taggert return to Port Charles. And though, as Andrews stated, “Never say never,” he had some big news to go along with confirming his exit.
“I got offered what is the biggest role of my life,” he announced, saying the project will be taking place on the “biggest and best network” with the “best directors, producers, and writers… in the industry,” in his opinion. He went on to inform, “We’re in pre-production for it… I’m not able to talk about it right now, but it’s huge.”
Hmmm… Could it be that Andrews has been offered a role on Beyond The Gates? The new soap is going to be on CBS, which is one of the biggest networks, and we wouldn’t be surprised if the actor added it to his resume, aside from his recent daytime stint, already having had roles on Days of Our Lives, All My Children, As the World Turns, Port Charles and Santa Barbara.
Stay tuned! Though the latest descriptions for characters that will be on Beyond The Gates don’t fit for Andrews, the soap is still in “pre-production,” another hint from the actor that could very well point to a new home in daytime!
