General Hospital Monday, August 5 Recap: Kristina & Molly Grieve Lost Baby – Sonny’s Grim Rooftop Decision
General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, August 5, reveals that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) cried to Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) about initially freezing up at the Metro Court pool, but Dex thought she simply took a second to assess the situation and saved Kristina Corinthos-Davis’ (Kate Mansi) life.
Josslyn was grateful that Dex stuck around after she tried to push him away and apologized for being judgmental.
Dex felt like Josslyn helped him see the kind of man he wanted to become, so they embraced the moment and wound up hitting the sheets.
At the PCPD, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) sent Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) to go be with Kristina and the rest of his loved ones at GH.
In the meantime, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) grilled Ava Jerome (Maura West) about what happened, so Ava stuck to her story about never touching Kristina during her raging attack.
As for Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), she gave Anna her statement about spotting Ava next to the broken window before she closed the curtains.
Ava talked to Trina soon after and found out what she’d witnessed.
Although Ava hoped she could leave since no formal charges had been filed, Anna insisted she needed to stick around.
Ava realized she shouldn’t say another word without her lawyer present, so she wanted to wait on Scott Baldwin’s (Kin Shriner) arrival before she was questioned again.
At GH, Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) felt that only the people who’d known Kristina a long time should be there at the hospital, so she convinced Blaze aka Allison “Allie” Rogers (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) to leave with her.
At the café, Natalia urged Blaze to have some chicken soup and try to calm herself.
The two of them had a heart-to-heart about Blaze’s relationship with Kristina, so it seemed like Natalia was finally starting to understand their love.
At the hospital again, Kristina woke up and learned that her baby girl didn’t make it, so she was distraught and wanted to be the one to break the news to Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos).
Once Molly got updates on the whole window and pool mess, she was relieved to learn Kristina was awake and asking for her.
In Kristina’s room, she let Molly know the baby girl was gone, so they took a devastating moment to hold hands and cry together.
Meanwhile, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow), Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) also heard from the doctor that Kristina’s baby didn’t survive.
While Alexis called Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), Sonny filled Dante in on Kristina waking up and her doctors being unable to save the baby.
Sonny fumed as he quizzed Dante about whether Ava was responsible and wanted her to pay along with John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington).
Back with TJ, he admitted to Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) that his first thought was to blame Kristina for whatever happened in Ava’s room – though he felt horrible for thinking that way.
Jordan eventually called Blaze to let her know that Kristina pulled through, but the baby didn’t.
Molly returned from Kristina’s room and sent Alexis in next since Kristina needed her mom.
Once Molly embraced TJ over the loss of their daughter, she blocked Sonny from visiting Kristina and blamed him for everything.
Since Kristina went to Ava’s room because of Sonny, Molly held him responsible for Kristina’s nearly fatal ordeal and for the death of the baby.
On the rooftop later, Sonny flashed back to many moments in recent months when he felt like his loved ones were turning against him.
As Sonny looked over the ledge, it was obvious that he was thinking about jumping.
In Kristina’s room, Alexis was trying to give her support when Kristina suddenly lost consciousness again. As all the monitors went haywire, a panicked Alexis called for help.
General Hospital spoilers say Kristina’s family will remain stuck in a nightmare, so we’ll pass along predictions on the aftermath of her medical drama.
