General Hospital Friday, August 2 Recap: Kristina’s Emergency C-Section – Dante Arrests Ava
General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, August 2, reveals that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) called 911 while Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) took charge of helping unconscious Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) in the pool.
Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanna Mazza) followed directions by retrieving the backboard from the first aid kit and helping Joss get Kristina on it as safely as possible.
Once Blaze aka Allison “Allie” Rogers (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) realized Kristina was the woman in the pool, she flipped out and had to be held back from rushing toward her.
After the paramedics arrived, Blaze wanted to ride with Kristina in the ambulance, but she wasn’t family.
Josslyn piped up that she was Kristina’s sister and rode with her instead, so she comforted a scared Krissy as she drifted in and out of consciousness.
Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) showed up to investigate, so Dante was upset to learn about Kristina’s ordeal.
After Gio got Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) on the phone and offered updates on Kristina’s accident, Dante worked on trying to get to the bottom of all this.
Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) noticed Ava Jerome (Maura West) standing by the window in the aftermath, so she spoke to Dante and Chase about it.
As for Ava, she closed the curtains, sent Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) an SOS voicemail and staged a new accident scene in her suite.
Ava hid John “Jagger” Cates’ (Adam J. Harrington) bag and put her shoes on the floor instead.
Ava also threw an ice bucket and pitcher down before opening the door to Dante, who was skeptical when she acted like Kristina physically attacked her over the subpoena.
Although Ava insisted Kristina was unhinged like Sonny, Dante struggled to believe Kristina would endanger her baby like that.
Even so, Ava claimed she never touched Kristina and said Kristina tripped over the shoes when she lunged at her.
Ava tried to claim Kristina fell through the curtains and out the window, but Dante caught her in a lie since they had a witness who had seen her – meaning the curtains were drawn afterward.
That led to Ava pretending she was just confused since it happened so fast.
Dante suspected Ava was making up the story and that she actually assaulted Kristina.
In fact, Dante suggested Ava had better hope both Kristina and the baby survived or else she’d be charged with two murders.
In the meantime, Dante slapped some handcuffs on Ava and placed her under arrest, so she looked flustered.
At GH, Kristina’s arrival interrupted TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) and Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) argument about the future of the baby.
Josslyn explained what she knew so far as Kristina’s medical team got to work.
Sonny also showed up and embraced Alexis as they both worried about their daughter.
Once Blaze arrived and found out Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) didn’t know yet since she was in court, she offered to help TJ tell her.
Back with Trina, she admitted to Gio that she now wondered if everybody had been right about Ava all along.
Trina considered the possibility that Ava was just as bad or worse as everyone had told her.
As Friday’s episode wrapped up, Kristina’s doctor had some difficult news for Sonny, Alexis, Blaze, TJ, Josslyn and Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) as they all gathered around.
It turns out Kristina’s multiple internal injuries caused severe hemorrhaging, so she had gone into hypovolemic shock.
The baby was also in fetal distress since the placenta was separating from the uterus, so they were taking Kristina to the OR for an emergency C-section.
Our predictions point to some terrifying moments for those closest to Kristina since they’ll need a miracle in the coming episodes.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will want Ava to pay for her role in this nightmare, so stay tuned!
