Days of Our Lives’ Alison Sweeney Is ‘So Excited’ to Be Working With *This* Hallmark Star

Days of Our Lives’ Alison Sweeney is not only bringing Sami back to Salem in 2025, she’s doing something else that is extremely exciting, a collaboration that viewers will get to see this holiday season. Throughout the years, when not working on her soap, the actress has starred in numerous movies for the Hallmark Channel and its sister channel Hallmark Mystery, alongside various actors and fan faves. And now, she’ll get to play opposite one she’s never worked with before.
Sweney posted a few photos on social media to express her excitement about teaming up with Niall Matter in Hallmark Mystery’s first movie for the network’s Miracles of Christmas event, This Time Each Year.
“Wow! My first time getting to work with Niall Matter and we are first up for this season’s Hallmark Mystery’s Miracles of Christmas!” she shared then went on to say that they are “so excited to launch everyone into the Christmas spirit with this special film” directed by fellow Hallmark star Crystal Lowe . “I truly loved working together with Niall and Crystal and the talented cast and crew to make This Time Each Year.”
On Thursday, October 24, at 8 pm, Sweeney will star as Lauren, opposite Matter’s Kevin in the “touching and charming movie about a family we all want to spend Christmas with!” Sweeney previewed. “I’m so thrilled and proud of this movie. I’m glad you’ll get to see it soon!”
We dug deeper into the story, where viewers will be carried along on a journey as Lauren and Kevin, who were once deeply in love, work to co-parent their son. However, when her mother plans a visit, Lauren asks Kevin to pretend they’re still happily married and living under one roof, despite the fact that they’ve been separated for nearly a year. With Kevin wanting nothing more than to make his family whole again, and Lauren getting a glimpse at the man she fell in love with, the magic of Christmas just might rekindle their romance and spark renewed hope for their future.
