We’ve got to hand it to Fiona on Days of Our Lives. In her rush to shove the blame for Sarah’s hit and run on Brady, she managed to trap him so neatly, it seems the only way out is jail… or death! Xander’s got a plan to take Brady out and, we gathered from the preview and this week’s spoilers, it involves drugging Brady and shooting him to make it look like a suicide. That’s bad news for Brady because Xander just picked up a gun from one of the Kiriakis henchmen. The good news is, Sarah caught her hubby just about red-handed!
And we know that tomorrow he’s going to admit to Sarah that he plans on taking Brady out. And she’s not going to take that lightly.
Paul Telfer spoke with Soap Opera Digest about Sarah’s reactions, saying she “has a clever strategy to save Brady and stop Xander. I liked that a lot, because she wasn’t betraying Xander. She was [attempting to] thwart his evil plan, and that’s a good thing. He shouldn’t just go and murder Brady under any circumstance.”
Well, Xander probably shouldn’t go around trying to murder anyone, but in this case especially, yeah, he should leave poor Brady alone. As to whether Sarah is successful or not, we’re going to guess yes, since spoilers for next week have Maggie still trying to talk Xander out of revenge!
But even if Xander isn’t successful, EJ is gunning for Brady in an entirely different way. He and Holly just teamed up to take Brady down, with the teen even using her poor, hapless boyfriend to get the goods on his dad. Of course, as soon as EJ drove the knife into Eric about how Holly hates him and Nicole now, it became clear that the DA isn’t just offering Holly a shoulder to lean on. He’s using her to get back at Eric, to bring Brady down and to hurt just about everyone he hates. (You can read today’s full recap here.)
That’s bad news for Brady, and it could get even worse if Xander’s plan for revenge slips from murder to just good, old fashioned railroading Brady into prison for the rest of his life! As much as EJ and Xander hate each other, teaming up with each other and Holly to make Brady pay could be enough to even send an innocent man to jail.
We know there isn’t anything they could really find to create a slam dunk case since he wasn’t the one to hit Sarah, but all it takes is some manufactured evidence to tip the scales of justice just a bit and it’s bye, bye Brady. Don’t think it couldn’t happen. Gabi didn’t kill Li and yet she was still sent away for over half a year. Brady may not be dying, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be sticking around.
