As the sad news spread that Shannen Doherty had died, many of her former castmates shared their memories of the late Beverly Hills, 90210 star. Among them was Ted King, her Season 1 leading man on Charmed. Their characters, Prue Halliwell and Andy Trudeau, were star-crossed lovers who were reunited years after being high-school sweethearts… only to be torn apart again, this time by supernatural forces.

“We created a special television couple for the ages,” King Instagrammed to Doherty. “My heart goes out to your family.

“Rest in peace, Shannen,” he added. “Rest in peace.”

Over the course of his stint on Charmed, SFPD inspector Andy became suspicious of Prue and her sisters after they regained their magical powers. In the end, he learned the truth about his on-again/off-again girlfriend and her family, and died trying to protect them from demonic forces. King now plays Jack on Bold & Beautiful and is, let’s say, a person of interest in the unexpected demises of Tom and Hollis.

Jason Priestley Instagrammed that he was “shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of my friend Shannen.” The two played siblings Brandon and Brenda Walsh on the OG 90210 and were front and center when the series became a mega-hit.

Doherty, Priestley continued, “was a force of nature and I will miss her. Sending love and light to her family in this dark time.”
