You know that saying about how the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree? Well, Days of Our Lives’ Stacy Haiduk (Kristen) and her daughter Sophia Tatum not only look alike, they’re in the same field and now the mother/daughter duo are teaming up in a new short film together. The soap actress and her mini-me (who also appeared on Days of Our Lives a while back) recently sat down with Fangoria to talk about the vampiric comedy-horror Brand New Cadillac, based on the short of the same name.

So, what’s their project all about? Haiduk and Tatum, whose dad is actor Bradford Tatum, star in and directed the movie, which promises to plumb the depths of a “mother/daughter relationship with life-and-death stakes set in the world of vampires.”

“This is an exciting time for women in film, and we wanted to really capture a story that focused on this,” Haiduk told the outlet. “Getting to work with my daughter and vice versa is something very dear to our hearts. We are excited to bring this unique story to audiences everywhere.”

Wearing a metallic silver, low cut, sleeveless dress, Kristen holds a pink and white bouquet. She sits on a cushioned sofa staring off with a mischievous expression.

Last month, Tatum posted some videos and photos from behind the scenes, where they “survived 109-degree weather, dust devil tornados, and blood… lots of blood.”

And prior to that, her proud mama was “super excited” to announce that Brand New Cadillac would be premiering at this year’s Screamfest Horror Film Festival in Los Angeles come October.

So, if it’s blood and gore you like, and you’re in the area, you won’t want to miss the mother/daughter team in action!
