Days of Our Lives’ Emily O’Brien Speaks Out on DOOL Exit, Will Theresa or Gwen Be Back?

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) worked out a plea deal for Victoria Horton-Cook’s (Islay and Paisley Kerr) kidnapping, so she was just shipped off to Statesville to serve her six-month sentence.

Now that Theresa’s prison stint has been confirmed, Emily O’Brien is speaking out about her latest DOOL exit.

In addition to taking over for Jen Lilley as a Theresa recast, O’Brien previously portrayed Gwen Rizczech.

In an interview with SOD, O’Brien confessed that she had a tearful last day on set and shared a heartfelt speech with everyone around her.

Since O’Brien wasn’t meant to stick around on Days for as long as she did, she’s thankful for her extended time in Salem.

The Young and the Restless fans might remember that Emily O’Brien portrayed Jana Hawkes back in 2011.

O’Brien confessed that she never thought another daytime role would come along, so she’s pleased she got to play two more on Days since it brought “a crazy, wild ride.”

O’Brien talked about staying in contact with former costars through fan events and a recent screening at Stacy Haiduk’s (Kristen DiMera) house.

It turns out the Days studio is also close to where O’Brien lives, so she suggested it’s strange to pass by it now.

“I feel like I’m there, but I’m not; [I feel like] that I’m just doing my own thing for a while. I miss everybody, but who knows what will happen. You never know,” O’Brien teased.

Since O’Brien has played both Theresa and Gwen, that doubles her chances of making a return at some point.

SOD hinted that fans would likely be seeing O’Brien again based on their sources, so we’ll bring you updates on any comeback news and story-related predictions.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say some other cast shakeups may be brewing, so stay tuned!
