Eat Your Heart Out, Finn! Steffy’s Husband Has Got Nothin’ On the Bold & Beautiful Star Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s Real-Life Mr. Right
Elan Ruspoli may never have rescued Jacqueline MacInnes Wood from a cage, but he’s still “my piece of heaven,” the three-time Emmy winner has said. The couple announced their engagement back in the fall of 2017 and eloped the following summer. Since then, the Bold & Beautiful leading lady and her husband have welcomed into the world four baby boys: Rise, now 5, Lenix, 3, Brando, 2, and Valor, who celebrated his first birthday in August.
Way Back When
The marrieds’ romance dates back to the mid-2010s. Even early-ish on, Wood was smitten, calling her future spouse “my love” and marveling to him on social media that “I am so lucky I can call you mine.”
It wasn’t just the sparks that flew between them that made Ruspoli such a keeper, though. “We push each other,” she explained not long before he popped the question. “We make each other better.”
No doubt, it helps that Ruspoli is as well-versed in the ins and outs of showbiz as his missus. He’s a talent agent whose clients have included such A-listers Eddie Redmayne, Toni Collette, Jeffrey Wright and Luke Wilson (below).
Mom-and-Pop Operation
Since Wood and Ruspoli started their family, her love for her better half has only grown. “Making time for family is everything to us,” she’s told Soaps.com. “We make time to spend with the kids and each other.
“And he’s very good about making sure I get me time, whether it’s taking a bubble bath or putting on a facial. It’s important to have a partner you can lean on, and that goes both ways.”
Wood and Ruspoli see a big benefit to their large family. “I’m sort of an only child, because there’s a 20-year age difference between myself and my sister,” she explains. “And my husband is an only child, so we love that our children have siblings.”
It Gets Better
If there are secrets to the success of Wood and Ruspoli’s relationship, she is happy to share them. “No. 1 is to take care of each other and ourselves. You’ll have a happy home that way,” she told Soaps.com in 2021. “We start at the top of the month. We have a conversation in a neutral place where we talk about what we want and need and what we could be doing better rather than sweep it under the rug and let it build so that you explode in anger.”
They do it like clockwork, too. “We make sure the first of the month, we check in” with each other.
Let the Good Times Roll
Just because Wood and Ruspoli have demanding his-and-hers careers and a full house to take care of doesn’t mean that they don’t still carve out some time for fun. As a matter of fact, she tells Soaps.com, “I find that I’m a much better partier now. We still try to make time every once in a while to go out and and have a date night. That’s very important for us.
“We also try to get away, if we can, once a month,” she continues, “even if it’s just a night or two. That’s when we can stay up all night for other reasons” besides taking care of the kids.
