Bold & Beautiful Rivalry Heats Up Amid Love Triangle Tease: ‘There’s Definitely Something Brewing’
It’s on! A contentious new rivalry is taking shape on Bold & Beautiful, and as it heats up, it promises to pull in virtually everyone on the canvas. Absolutely no one will be surprised to learn that both a family feud and a love triangle are at the center of the brouhaha, which has already kicked off… online!
The Forresters and the Spencers have a mostly contentious history despite Ridge Forrester great love for two generations of Spencer women… both named Caroline. Now that we think about it, that may be part of the problem. In any case, it’s a tangled web they’ve woven, these families, as Bill’s son Liam spent decades embroiled caught between a Forrester and Logan, which brought a third family into the mix. Things got even more complicated when Bill became involved with Brooke. The Forresters were miffed, not only because she was considered Ridge’s woman, but perhaps because she had also been Thorne and Eric Forrester’s woman as well. Oops.
In any case, Bill and Ridge have had some legendary clashes, which have included but are not limited to, Bill having Ridge dumped out of a helicopter into the sea and what should have been his certain death! As we learned when R.J. began dating Luna, who was briefly believed to be Bill’s daughter, the animosity has been instilled in the new generation. R.J. made it pretty clear to Luna that he didn’t trust the man she was calling dad. As it turned out it was Luna who couldn’t be trusted, but that’s another story.
The takeaway was that the Spencer/Forrester feud well-established by Bill and Ridge is ready to be passed onto the next generation. Thanks to a little SORASing, Bill and Katie’s son Will has returned to Los Angeles all grown up and ready to rumble.. with R.J.
In a recent chat with The TV Watercooler, an excited Crew Morrow, who plays Will, confirmed of R.J., “He’s sort of trending to be Will’s enemy on the show.” Looking ahead, he teased, “There’s definitely something brewing between them.”
While the two haven’t even crossed paths yet onscreen, let alone found reason to be at each other’s throats, Will has been spending time with his mother at Forrester Creations, and could even decide to take a job there. We’re sure Bill would just love his son working for The Dressmaker. Alas, Will would also be encroaching on R.J.’s territory, which could set the scene for some initial animosity. But as all soap viewers know, there has to be more to it.
Enter Electra Forrester, who will be played by Laneya Grace, and who is in just the right age bracket to land smack dab in the middle of a love triangle between the two young men. R.J. (who is technically a Marone and not a Forrester by blood) is suddenly single after Luna was carted off to prison for a double-murder, and Will appears to have no attachments. Let the games begin!
Morrow confirmed there could be romance in the cards for Will and the new Forrester from Down Under and hedged, “I’m excited for Electra to come to town… Let’s put it that way!”
As the newest Spencer vs. Forrester rivalry takes shape, the trash talk has already begun (in jest) between the actors behind the scenes. On a recent post Joshua Hoffman shared of himself working out, which prompted a follower to ask, “Is this to beat up Will Spencer?”, Crew Morrow playfully initiated a beef by commenting, “I’ll bet Will Spencer bench presses ten million.”
