Never let it be said that The Bold and the Beautiful’s Scott Clifton doesn’t have a way with words. Heck, that’s just one of the many things we love about him. (Liam on the other hand, we tend to get a bit more frustrated with…) And we’ve got a feeling that it’s one of the reason his girlfriend, Elle Anderson, loves and adores him, too!

Heck, just take a look at the birthday message Clifton wrote for her over on Instagram and you’ll see exactly what we mean! He starts by lamenting the shortcomings of the English language for not having a word that encompasses his love correctly. And we’re kind of with him on this one. Musician Halsey, for instance, has a song on her 2021 album titled “Ya’aburnee.” That’s an Arabic phrase that means that you love someone so much, you hope they bury you someday because you can’t bear the thought of being the one who has to live without thure Halsey wouldn’t mind Clifton playing that for his own love, but we honestly don’t think he needs to. Because the Bold & Beautiful actor does a fine job of finding the right combination of words for his love, “capturing what you mean to me — the lifeline you are, the purpose you give me, the steadfastness of your mind and heart.”

He goes on to wish Anderson a, “Happy birthday, to the woman who makes selflessness and grace into an art form; who shattered the glass ceiling of what I imagined love could be; the antidote to cynicism; the heartbeat of the Phoenix; the quiet compass; the brush stroke of wisdom. “I love you, Elle. And I celebrate you with every aching breath.”

Oof. Be still, our soaring hearts. Check out the full post below and flip through to see Clifton’s full tribute to his love.

Honestly, we don’t really have much more to add to that, other than what Ashley Jones (Bridget) wrote in the comments with a fire emoji: “Wow.”

Now if only Liam loved like that on Bold & Beautiful, rather than jumping back and forth between the same women, we have a feeling his life would be a whole lot better! But hey, maybe now that Ivy’s coming back, Liam will finally learn this kind of love and devotion. Then again, maybe not.
