Bold & Beautiful’s Steffy Is Barking Up the Wrong Tree — and [Spoiler] Just Proved It

Steffy just laid down the law with Hope about keeping her distance from Finn, but perhaps she should be watching her back on another front instead. Eagle-eyed Bold & Beautiful fans weren’t the only ones to realize that the real threat to her marriage could prove to be [Spoiler]!

Despite Brooke making tracks to Finn’s office today, which could stir up a hornet’s next if she unloads on the good doctor about Steffy’s ultimatum to her daughter, we don’t think she’s an issue either. After all, behind closed doors, Brooke has repeatedly impressed upon Hope that she cannot have feelings for Steffy’s Husband™.

Of course, Steffy’s ultimatum itself may turn out to be problematic. In the soap world, telling someone they can’t have someone all but guarantees that they’ll want them even more. Find out why Steffy’s latest move could push Finn and Hope together here.

Then again, Finn and Hope seem to wind up in each other’s orbits on a regular basis with no help from anyone or anything else. That proved true again when Hope stormed out of the office after yet another confrontation with her mother about Steffy’s Husband™, only to run smack dab into his brawny chest at Il Giardino.

Finn was quick to clarify that he’d called ahead to make sure Sheila wasn’t working that day, so we know he’s gung-ho about keeping his promise to Steffy to steer clear of his Birth Mother™, but he seemed to have short-term memory loss when it came to Hope, whom he’s also supposed to be staying away from per his wife’s warnings.

Finn not only greeted Hope, but worked to engage her in an in-depth conversation. Hope, fresh off of the ultimatum that threatened the future of her fashion line, told him straight out that it would be best if they didn’t interact, but even that didn’t jog his memory. He just kept on talking.

It kinda boggled the mind, since the last we knew, he was supposedly beyond irritated with Hope, who had planted an unwanted kiss on him at the Forrester mansion, which led to the circumstances behind Steffy being held captive by Luna.

Yet, here he was being as nice as pie. Not only was Finn no longer irritated with Hope, but he was back to doing the very things he and Steffy had gone over as being problematic… playing the peacemaker and being overly friendly.

Making matters even worse, despite knowing that Hope has a crush on him, Finn gushed that she was a strong, accomplished, and beautiful woman. It’s hard not to feel as though this guy is leading her on. You can’t even claim that he’s clueless at this point, because Steffy spelled it out to him in bold capital letters. He vowed up and down that he had been foolish and that it would never happen again… and yet there we were watching it go down in Il Giardino.

Finn could have just politely said hello to Hope and left it at that, but he didn’t. Worse, the minute he walked away, Hope started with the pining again… flashing back to their close moments. We’re not the only ones who found Dr. Finnegan’s behavior problematic.Does Finn not understand he can’t be nice to Hope? People are already saying he’s leading her on. He shouldn’t even have two syllables for her! Did they do a reset when they started this season? #BoldandBeautiful

SOAPS reader Casey posted in the message boards, “I couldn’t believe the way he was talking to Hope today…like none of that other business happened… telling her she is beautiful… so dumb!”

Another reader, Nym, chimed in, “He’s Ridge all over again. I dont believe in the Dr. Goodwill act.”

Finally, Lynn 1216 noted, “Hope did the right thing today. She told Finn they shouldn’t be around each other. Finn is the one that wanted her to confide in him and was laying on the compliments.”
