At the morgue, Li tells Finn and Poppy that both Tom and Hollis died of an overdose. The same drug was found in both of their systems. Poppy gasps, “That’s so awful,” as Li muses, “It’s not an accident.” She says they were killed, and she knows exactly who did it. Poppy asks, “Who?” Li says, “You know exactly who I’m talking about Penelope.”

Li continues that it’s obvious. Poppy doesn’t understand. Li thinks it’s clear. These two men came in regular contact with an unstable woman who has a history of violent criminal behavior. Sheila Carter killed those men.

At Forrester, Ridge, Brooke, Hope, and Steffy read the reports on Hollis’ death. Ridge remarks that this might take a bite out of Deacon’s pizza business. Brooke says they’re investigating and interviewing the other employees. Steffy feels there’s one employee they should be questioning first. It’s not hard to connect the dots and figure out who’s behind this.

Hope says her dad wants to know how this happened more than anyone. Steffy asks, “Even if his wife’s behind it?” Hope points out Tom died of an overdose. Steffy says Sheila hurts people however she can. Brooke backs her up. Sheila’s capable of anything. Hope is forced to agree. “Tom and Hollis could have died because of Sheila.”

At Il Giardino, Deacon is on the phone saying he’ll cooperate with the police. He prides himself on running a high-class establishment and won’t let this go. He vows to find out what happened because Tom and Hollis weren’t just employees, but also his friends. Sheila listens to the call. He slams the phone down and complains to his wife that the press are vultures. This isn’t going to be good for the restaurant. He feels sick over losing his friends and wants answers. “I want to know what the hell happened!”

Sheila coaxes Deacon not to let the reporter get to him. He had nothing to do with this. Deacon argues that it’s his restaurant. “What the hell happened to Hollis?!” Sheila assures him he gave them attention, care, and respect. Deacon agonizes that Tom said he was clean and then he overdosed. “It doesn’t make sense.” He wonders if Hollis was sick or just in the wrong place at the wrong time. “We have no idea how Hollis died.”

At the morgue, Li warns her son not to defend Sheila. Finn admits he was thinking the same thing. Poppy agrees that she has a frightening history. Finn warns they can’t say that what happened to Tom and Hollis wasn’t accidental. Drugs kill. Li says, “So does Sheila.” She reminds him she shot him and Steffy and ran her off the road and left her to die. “I am absolutely certain that Sheila Carter murdered those two men.”

At Forrester, Ridge recaps that everyone warned Deacon about getting involved with Sheila. Steffy says he doesn’t deserve an ounce of sympathy or understanding. Getting close to Sheila, you’re inviting chaos into your life. Brooke’s sure he realizes it now. Steffy says Finn is at the hospital with Li, who is overseeing Hollis’ autopsy. There’s no doubt in her mind that Sheila is behind this and this time, Sheila will pay.

At Il Giardino, Sheila tells Deacon he’s asking her things she can’t answer. Deacon can see she’s shaken too. She says it’s sad what happened to Tom and Hollis, but the deaths could be unrelated. It’s possible that these were just two tragic accidents. Deacon says they’ll know soon enough. He’s starting to think that the deaths were anything but an accident.

At the morgue, Li repeats her assertion that Sheila is responsible for the men’s deaths. Finn admits it’s possible that she was involved. It’s worth looking into. Li says that’s exactly what she’s going to do. She announces she’s going over to the restaurant to confront that madwoman. Finn cautions that there’s no evidence tying her to this. If she insists on going, he’ll go with her. Li won’t let him undermine his marriage. Just then, Steffy knocks and enters cautiously and asks about how Hollis died. Li says, “Just like Tom Starr. Hollis was murdered by Sheila.”

At Forrester, Hope flashes to Deacon telling her she means the world to him, but so does Sheila. She thinks about her dad’s wedding as she reflects on Steffy and Ridge’s assertion that Sheila killed those men. Brooke suddenly asks how she’s doing. Hope says she’s worried about her dad and the restaurant. It’s heart-breaking what happened to Hollis, who died all alone. She wants to understand why this happened. Ridge barks that they all know what happened; her father let Sheila into his life. Hope says her father will want concrete proof before he entertains the idea that Sheila is responsible. Ridge doesn’t think he’ll believe what’s in the autopsy report. They agree it’s horrible what happened to Hollis, but they have to make sure this doesn’t happen again. “This is all about Sheila.”

At the restaurant, Deacon tells Sheila it’s like there’s somebody or something behind this. Tom was turning his life around. Sheila understands that he doesn’t want his friends’ deaths to be meaningless. It’s upsetting and tragic, but it’s not murder, she insists.

At the morgue, Steffy gawps, “Murder?” Finn explains his mother’s interpretation of the autopsy points to this since Tom and Hollis both died of a drug overdose. Also, Hollis’s death appears suspicious. Finn doesn’t want to jump to any conclusions, but he can’t deny that the report is concerning. “Not only did Hollis overdose, he died of the same drug that killed Tom.” Steffy gasps, “Sheila.” Li nods. Steffy declares that there are no coincidences where Sheila is concerned. Hollis was shocked when Tom died and now, he has died the same way. It’s sinister. “Sheila killed Tom and Hollis. My God.” Steffy doesn’t know how, but this time one thing is certain. “Sheila will pay for her crimes.” Li nods in agreement.
