At Forrester Creations, Luna is surprised to see Finn waiting for her in the design office. Finn muses that he thought the office would be the best place to catch her. Luna tells him she’s trying to stay positive and busy. She wishes they had more time to talk. Finn complains about her not having time for her favorite cousin. He tells her things have been crazy lately, “Steffy’s missing.”
At the cliff house, Taylor tells a pacing Ridge he’s going to wear a hole in the floor. They’re both worried about Steffy. It’s not like her to show up for her appointment or check on the kids. Ridge frets, “What if she’s really missing?” He wonders if they should call the police or check their passport. Taylor worries they’d be over-reacting by sending out a search party, but she’d rather be safe than sorry. She sighs that she should have come home sooner to help her process everything. Ridge thinks maybe she just needed time to herself. “I just want her to be OK, that’s all.”
In the apartment, Steffy bangs on the cage and screams, “Help me!” She sobs.
In the design office, Luna tells Finn that Steffy went out of town, she’s not missing. He should just be patient. Finn asks, “And not try to find her?” Luna shrugs, “I wouldn’t.” Finn says he got a call that Steffy didn’t arrive at the wellness retreat in France. He asks, “Luna, when was the last time you saw Steffy?”
In her office, Li thinks about her conversation with Finn about Luna being involved in Steffy’s disappearance. She recalls her son suggesting that Luna may have framed her mother for two murders as she’s the only other person who would benefit. She gets up from her chair and leaves.
At the cliff house, Ridge tells Taylor the police aren’t worried about Steffy’s disappearance, so he’s going text Baker. Taylor frets, so Ridge hugs her. They sit and remember Steffy playing hide and seek when she was little. Taylor and Ridge reflect that life has been rough for their daughter but she’s persevered. “She’s tough.” Taylor says resilience comes at a cost, which is why she needed to recharge. Ridge doesn’t want to wait for the police. He asks her to call Thomas. He’ll call Thorne to see if he knows anything.
In the apartment, a weakening Steffy lies in the bottom of the cage and whispers, “Finn, I need you. Please find me.”
In the design office, Finn asks Luna if she saw Steffy before she left. Luna doesn’t know what he’s asking. He’s asking if she knows where his wife is. Luna counters, “Why would I?” Finn points out they work together. He was hoping she’d know more than she’s saying. Luna says, “Sorry.” Finn recaps that Steffy didn’t show up at her retreat and says he doesn’t know what to think. Luna suggests he give her some space. Finn says her kids miss her and he doesn’t know what to tell them. If she knows anything… Luna snaps, “I said I don’t.” She has to get going. Finn doesn’t want to hold her up. Luna exits and Finn looks distressed.
At the cliff house, Ridge and Taylor conclude their calls with Thomas and Thorne and compare notes. Neither of them has heard from Steffy and she hasn’t been by International. Taylor worries, “What do we tell the kids?” Steffy’s always in contact with them when she leaves town. The reason she’s so concerned is that she’d never not check in with her kids. She tears up and wishes her daughter was there to make up for lost time.
In the apartment, Steffy screams for help when she hears someone at the door. It’s Luna. Steffy tells her Bill doesn’t want her and her plan isn’t going to work. She asks her to let her out and they’ll deal with this. She’ll help her. Luna doesn’t need her help; she just needs to go. She starts throwing things into a bag. Behind the kitchen island, Luna dumps more drugs into a bottled water and emerges to try and convince Steffy to drink it. If she doesn’t, she’ll soon be delirious and helpless.
At the cliff house, Ridge learns there have been no charges on the corporate credit cards. He decides to hire a private detective and thanks Carter, on the phone, for the idea. He then tells Taylor that Steffy is strong, determined, and pretty… like her dad. Taylor wants him to be honest… does he think their daughter’s in trouble?
At the apartment, Luna pressures Steffy to take one sip of the water. Steffy slaps it away and says, “I don’t trust you.” Luna fumes that she’s ruining everything and Finn is asking questions. Steffy perks up. Luna says it’s too late… the demolition equipment is lined up outside. Steffy grabs her hand and twists it through the cage. She tells Luna she won’t get away with this. Suddenly, Finn kicks the door in. Steffy’s face floods with exhausted relief. Luna takes off.
Outside the door, Li intercepts Luna. They struggle and Luna pushes Li away, taking off running down the stairs. Li follows. At the bottom of the staircase, Luna hits a dead end in the form of a chain link fence. Li catches up to her and intones, “You’re not going anywhere.”
In the apartment, Finn tells Steffy, “I’ve got you, OK. You’re going to be OK.” Steffy cries, “I knew you’d come.” They hold hands through the cage and look into each other’s eyes.
