The Bold and the Beautiful Friday, July 12 Recap: Hollis’ Mystery Visitor – Sheila Finds Body with No Pulse
The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, July 12, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) found Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) at the office and was surprised to learn she’d given Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) her blessing.
Hope talked about doing some soul-searching and realizing she needed to take a step back to figure out why she wanted what she wanted.
Steffy was proud of Hope for untangling herself from a doomed relationship.
Although Hope suggested the jury was still out on whether Thomas and Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) would last, Steffy had a good feeling about it.
Steffy wondered what triggered Hope’s change of heart, so she said Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) helped her make sense of some things.
Hope alluded to some inner turmoil and left Steffy curious, but she said it was nothing that concerned Steffy.
At the hospital, John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) stopped Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) from walking past his office, but she seemed distracted as they talked.
Jack Finnegan (Ted King) popped up next, so he bickered with Li and discussed how they ran into each other the night of the concert at Il Giardino.
Jack also noted that he had a drink with Paul “Hollis” Hollister (Hollis W. Chambers) the bartender and left once the terrible music started.
That gave Li a chance to mention that Tom Starr (Clint Howard) died after Jack took off. Finn was surprised that he was just now hearing that both Li and Jack were there that night.
While Li took a phone call, Jack spoke to Finn about Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) being a gentle soul who deserved the very best in life.
Jack was glad that Poppy found it and that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) was Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) dad.
When Li returned, she said Poppy was getting what she always wanted and was incredibly lucky to be embraced by Bill.
At home, Bill reiterated that he wanted to give Luna the Spencer name.
Poppy announced that she had some errands to run – and Bill also exited since he had a tax code meeting to prep for.
At Il Giardino, Hollis and Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) acknowledged the flickering lights.
Since it was almost closing time, Deacon suggested they’d cut off accepting customers and have a beer together later.
Next on Friday’s B&B episode, Sheila Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) read a news story about “poor Tom” before speaking with a preoccupied Hollis.
After Hollis admitted he found out something really important today, he said it was about Tom and how he died.
Sheila insisted it was a simple overdose and didn’t approve of Hollis digging through Tom’s bag, so she ordered him to throw that dirty thing in the trash.
After Sheila walked away, Hollis repeatedly drank from what appeared to be a bottle of coconut water.
Once the power went out, Hollis used his phone to light up Tom’s backpack.
Suddenly, someone entered the darkened restaurant, so Hollis recognized them and asked what they were doing there.
Hollis ultimately said he was glad this person was there since he really needed to talk to someone about what he found.
A new day began, so Finn bumped into Hope at Forrester Creations after working the graveyard shift.
Steffy wasn’t at the office yet, so Finn spoke to Hope about the latest Thomas updates and knew she’d find the man she was meant to be with.
At the cliff house, Steffy called Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin) about the supposedly accidental overdose at Il Giardino.
Steffy had a hard time believing there wasn’t a Sheila connection since a man died where she worked.
At home, Deacon wondered what took Sheila so long to come up to their place last night.
Deacon also offered to make them espressos downstairs, but Sheila said she’d do it and urged him to stay there.
Before Sheila exited, she assured Deacon that she wouldn’t let anyone take their life together away from her.
Once Sheila entered Il Giardino and walked behind the bar, she screamed at the sight of Hollis on the floor. Deacon heard Sheila and raced to see what was going on, so they both crouched down by Hollis’ body.
As Deacon started trying to summon help over the phone, Sheila checked the pulse and informed Deacon that Hollis was dead.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Hollis’ grim fate will kick off a whole new phase of this storyline, so we’ll pass along more predictions on all the chaos that’s brewing.
