Bold & Beautiful’s Taylor Is Officially Back — and She’s Played By a Very Familiar Face!

When The Bold and the Beautiful ended on Monday with a mysterious woman watching Brooke and Ridge in Monte Carlo, we were pretty certain we were finally getting Taylor’s return. So we were eagerly waiting for Tuesday’s episode to find out if we were right or not. It turns out, we were, but we weren’t quite ready for the next twist: Taylor is now being played by none other than Rebecca Budig!

When we last saw Taylor, Krista Allen had been playing her for two years, having taken over the role from Hunter Tylor. Then, last December, Allen shared that she’d been let go from the show and told Taylor was no longer needed. Well, it looks like that last part, at least, has changed!

As for Budig, we’re willing to bet most soap fans are very familiar with the actress who got her daytime start as Michelle Bauer on Guiding Light, jumped over to All My Children to play Greenlee Smythe and was last seen as General Hospital‘s Hayden Barnes.

Budig shared screentime at General Hospital with another familiar face to Bold & Beautiful fans, Rick Hearst (ex-Whip), who’s returning to the ABC sudser as Ric.

Her joining Bold & Beautiful will reunite Budig with Thorsten Kaye, whose Zach on All My Children had what we’ll just say was a very rocky relationship with Greenlee! Unlike Ridge and Taylor’s wild past, though, the two Pine Valley residents were never involved romantically, so the actors’ dynamic this time around is going to be a bit different!

And in case there was any doubt as to who she was, the show handled her appearance with a special announcement saying that the role of Taylor would now be played by Rebecca Budig. After revealing herself to us (but not “Bridge”), Taylor put a call in to Steffy back in Los Angeles and told her she was coming home.

That can’t be good news for Brooke and Ridge — but there’s a decent chance it is for “Tridge” fans! Then again, Taylor might have a perfectly innocent reason for spying on her fellow Los Angelinos. Who knows, maybe this time around she’ll decide to just cut her own path and leave the Forresters and the Logans to themselves!

Yeah, we don’t believe that either.
