Brooke Ends Her Photo Shoot With a Warning to Hope — and R.J.’s Reveal Sends Katie Into a Panic

At Bill’s place, Poppy yells, “I’m warning you, Katie! You’d better stop with these ridiculous accusations!” Katie challenges, “Or what? What are you going to do?” She knows when someone is lying to her and Poppy is giving off all the right symptoms. She recaps all of the coincidence surrounding Tom Starr and demands to know if she had a relationship with the man or had anything to do with the deaths. Katie doesn’t know Poppy’s true nature so she could be a killer. Luna comes in and guesses there’s some sort of misunderstanding. Poppy says she heard Katie quite clearly. “She had the nerve to barge into our home, uninvited, and accuse me of murder!”

Luna tells Katie her mom is kind and gentle. “You really think she would kill someone?” Poppy says she accused her of being responsible for both deaths at Il Giardino. Luna tells Katie how inappropriate this is, and insists her mom wouldn’t even let her kill a spider. “I think you need to leave.” Katie tells Poppy this isn’t over. “I’m going to find out the truth.”

At Il Giardino, Deacon tells Bill and Justin there’s still a killer on the loose. He wants to know why he lost two friends and how Tom and Hollis died. Justin suggests Deacon may be over-thinking it. Deacon argues that neither of them had a drug problem. What are the chances they both develop one and OD in the same week. This was murder. Deacon vows to get to the bottom of it, and when he finds out who’s responsible, they’re going to pay.

Backstage at Forrester, Zende joins Ridge, Brooke, Steffy, Finn, and Hope for the Brooke’s Bedroom photo shoot. Steffy whispers to Finn that she still can’t believe Brooke is coming to Monte Carlo. She wishes she’d just stay home. Across the room, Hope whispers to Brooke that she can’t believe Steffy is going to Monte Carlo. It could be a romantic getaway for Ridge and Brooke, but three’s a crowd. Brooke nods.

Ridge gives Zende instructions and Brooke emerges from behind some curtains in lingerie. She gets on the bed as Zende says, “Let’s do it!” He snaps photos as Brooke poses seductively. Ridge and Hope beam and at one point, Ridge adjusts Brooke’s necklace and kisses her.

As the photo shoot continues, Brooke dons a peachy-hued outfit and poses as Zende snaps away and the others watch. Steffy tells Ridge, “You could change your mind.” Ridge says she’s gorgeous. Why would they go with “fine” when they can have great with Brooke. He walks off and Hope walks over to ask what Steffy thinks. Steffy doesn’t think Brooke should be front and center… or go to Monte Carlo. Hope argues that the trip is for Brooke’s Bedroom, besides, it’s going to turn into a romantic getaway for her mother and Ridge, does she really want to be in the middle? Steffy walks off.

At Il Giardino, Bill tells Justin if he was in Deacon’s position, he’d be pretty worked up too. He tells his right-hand man he’s going home to Poppy and Luna. Just marvels at him finally getting himself a daughter and hopes she brings out the best in him.

At Bill’s place, Luna can’t believe Katie walked in there and accused her mother of murder. Should they be concerned if she won’t let this go? Poppy can’t believe she’s actually that jealous. If she were smart, she’d leave it alone. Just then, Bill walks in and asks what’s going on. It seems like he walked in on something. Luna lies that they were just bonding and discussing the twist and turns of their lives. He turned everything around. Poppy says Luna’s right… they’ve been through a lot to get to this point. Now that they’re there, they never want to be without family again. Bill never wants to be without it either. “No one will ever take it away from us, I promise you.”

In Forrester’s design office, RJ joins Katie and says, “You wanted to talk to me about something?” Katie says yes and asks him to tell her everything he knows about Poppy Nozawa. She explains she’s living at Bill’s house and she’s a bit curious. RJ says they really like the estate. Katie is sure it’s a big upgrade from their apartment. She tells her nephew she has some serious concerns about Luna’s mother. Katie says Brooke implied that Poppy was part of the reason he and Luna were on the outs for a while. RJ says it was just a misunderstanding. Katie tells him if he has any secrets about that woman, she needs to know.

RJ says it’s not his place to tell. Katie guesses whatever Poppy did was damaging. RJ sight that, yes, it was bad. Katie pleads with him to tell her because this woman is living in Bill’s house, “My son’s father.” RJ says Poppy accidentally drugged Luna. Katie gawps, “Drugged?!” RJ says it turned out badly for him and Luna. When he mentions the special mints, Katie hollers, “Bill has moved a drug addict into his house?!” RJ says she claims that she stopped taking them. “You’re not completely wrong about Poppy. She’s a very nice person, she just has a dark side.” He asks her to keep them between us. Katie thanks him for telling her. Once alone, Katie paces and says out loud that Poppy took illicit hallucinogens, the same thing that killed Hollis and Tom. “Oh my God… Bill!” Horrified, she thinks that Bill could be in danger.

In the backstage area, Zende tells Brooke she looks gorgeous as the photo shoot continues. Ridge, meanwhile, warns Steffy not to be late for the plane, as the prince is determined to see Brooke. He’s very punctual. Steffy tells him to worry about Brooke, who leaves her packing to the very last minute. Behind the curtain, Hope watches Steffy and Finn. Brooke notices. Zende calls her attention back to him so they can finish up. Everyone smiles as he says, “That’s a wrap!”

Brooke joins Hope and tells her she saw her looking at Finn. “He’s Steffy’s husband, so stop it.” She tells her she’ll find the right man, but it won’t be Steffy’s husband. Hope knows that, and insists her mother doesn’t have to worry. Ridge gives Zende accolades, and everyone applauds. Ridge tells Brooke she’s going to light up the world again and they smooch.
