Bold and the Beautiful: Bill & Li in Cahoots – Paternity Scheme Busts Wide Open?

Bold and the Beautiful had Bill Spencer popping in on Li Finnegan this week and within their conversation, they’ve woven enough clues to solve two of the mysteries on the CBS soap. Bill and Li spun a whopper of a cryptic message this week on B&B, so what does it tell us?

Bold and the Beautiful: Li Finnegan Comes Up Against a Problem

Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) seemed disturbed by Katie Logan‘s (Heather Tom) line of questioning. She wasn’t asking Li if she made a mistake. But instead, Katie inquired about any possibility of a faulty paternity test before it came out of the box.

This week on Bold and the Beautiful, Katie is bound and determined to prove Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) is not Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) daughter. Li was adamant that the test was 100 percent accurate and that Luna was the offspring of Bill Spencer.

This didn’t make Katie happy to hear. But this visit seems even more unsettling for Li. After hearing what Li and Bill talked about, the dust starts to clear, and it looks like there’s a reason Bill wants to adopt Luna right away.

B&B Spoilers: Li and Bill Spencer’s Conversation Sounds Like a Puzzle

Bill suggested Luna is his daughter today, but “largely” due to Li Finnegan. Now that was strange. Then she comes back with, it’s “the least” she can do for Bill after he saved her life. What? All she did was open a box and take a couple of swabs. Is that payback for someone saving your life, or did she do something we don’t know about yet?

This week on Bold and the Beautiful, the publishing magnate went overboard thanking Li for finally giving him a daughter. So, this adds fuel to a new theory online.

Their conversation sounds like there’s much more going on behind the scenes. This level of gratitude from the Spencer patriarch to Li Finnegan is way over the top for a woman swabbing cheeks and reading results.

And this new theory suggests that Bill Spencer knows he’s not Luna’s father. But, Li and Bill worked together to make this happen anyway.

Bold and the Beautiful: Bill Comes to Luna Nozawa’s Rescue Theory

First, it sounds like despite Bill knowing he’s not Luna’s father, for some reason he needed to be. That need could have come from Luna pouring her heart out to the publishing giant, wanting to know the identity of her father.

Luna landed in a dark place at the time. It was right after her mother’s special mints put her in bed with the wrong Forrester man. The publishing icon is into Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park), but it’s likely this is more Bill’s father mode driving this ploy.

After seeing her emotional pain that day, it’s just like Bill to come to the rescue. Plus, Luna asked him if there was a chance he was her dad. So, she seemed disappointed when he could only tell her that he questioned her mother about that possibility and the answer was no.

B&B: What’s In it For Li?

So, the theory goes that Bill Spencer contacted Li Finnegan long before the paternity test and told her that he knew he wasn’t Luna’s father. But he wanted to give her niece the father she wanted all her life.

Then after the paternity test, he planned on adopting her. So if it were ever found out, Luna would have Bill Spencer as her father for life.  That’s likely where his need to adopt Luna fits in if this Bold and the Beautiful fan theory plays out.

Li Finnegan is not someone you would expect to do something nice for Poppy. But she might have been willing to do this for her niece. So, the theory goes that she tampered with a paternity test and had it all set up and ready to go.

Then RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) mentioned to Li Finnegan that Luna was about to do this test. So, she took off and rushed to Bill’s house with a paternity test in tow.

Possibly, she switched out the components of the paternity test. Then she replaced that with a DNA test that detects relatives, instead of one that only indicates paternity. All she would need to do is swab herself. Then switch that swab for the one used on Bill Spencer. Then the test would indicate a match because Li is Luna’s biological niece.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Jury Still Out On Poppy Nozawa

Poppy looks suspicious in all this too, but so far, Bold and the Beautiful fans aren’t sure what part she plays in this. Judging from what fans have witnessed lately, Katie Logan may ruin this for Bill.

This Logan sister has some serious questions, but no right to ask them. Such as why did it take 20 years for Poppy to inform Bill Spencer he could be the father Luna looked for all these years?

So, that suggests that when Tom Starr (Clint Howard) came barking about being Luna’s father, he might have told the truth. This also means the serial killer shortlist gets a little bit longer. So far, this theory could explain the paternity mystery. And possibly even the two murder mysteries, with Bill and Li having too much to lose if this got out.

Then again, this theory could end up as a Bold and the Beautiful twist. After the lying and killing to keep this secret safe, it would be just like B&B to have another paternity test done in the future that shows Bill Spencer and Li Finnegan did all this for nothing because Luna is his daughter on the CBS soap.
