It’s been a long while since we’ve seen Zoe on our screens but the actress who portrayed Carter’s former fiancée has been keeping busy since leaving The Bold and the Beautiful. Our sister site, Deadline, has learned that Kiara Barnes is about to embark on a new venture and has been cast on Season Two of FOX’s American crime drama Accused, which is based off the 2010 British series of the same name.
The series gives accounts of ordinary people with each episode beginning with the introduction of the accused from inside a courtroom without knowing what crime they committed or what landed them on trial. Viewers then go along for the ride as the events that led them there are revealed from the defendant’s point of view.
Be sure to tune in for the new season’s premiere October 8 on FOX. Incidentally, One Life to Live alum Sherri Saum (Keri) has been cast as well. And if you haven’t checked out the series and would like to watch Season One, you can do so today…
The last time we saw Zoe was in July 2021, when Paris told her sister that Carter had been having an affair with Quinn — not Shauna — which led to Zoe leaving town and breaking up with Carter offscreen.
Since leaving daytime behind, Barnes has had much success and played Ruby on FOX’s Fantasy Island reboot until the series was cancelled in 2023 after two seasons. And we can’t wait to see her back on the network in this new role!
