In the Quartermaine stables, Tracy walks in on Cody and Sasha getting frisky. Cody tells Tracy that Sasha is only here because he invited her, but Sasha insists she surprised Cody. Tracy tells them to hush and never admit to anything unless they know what they are being accused of. Cody tells Tracy if she’s going to fire Sasha, then he will go too. He is guessing she’ll miss him because he will miss her.
Tracy admits she would miss him, and she isn’t going to fire Sasha because Monica won’t let her. Plus, she makes the best pastries outside of Paris. Tracy came to say she overreacted to their family brunch and was advised to rethink her behavior. A puzzled Cody asks what is going on with her. Tracy says she is often at odds with her family, the price she pays for being the sane one. She explains that when she saw Cody so happy with his family, it caught her off guard. However, she was wrong in how she reacted, and she’s sorry. She also says they are a lovely couple.
Cody tells Tracy that she’s freaking him out but admits he loves this job, and she is a big reason why. Sasha agrees, and they both love it here on the estate. Cody also thinks Tracy’s not as at odds with her family as she thinks. Before she leaves, Tracy advises them to get a room with a door that locks.
At the Metro Court, Carly and Sonny are out on their pretend date. Sonny spots Martin at the bar and excuses himself to talk to him. He asks the lawyer about Alexis, and Martin says he saw her and she’s coping. They have a strategy which is best left between him and his client. Sonny reminds him that he’s paying him to get Alexis out of Pentonville. Martin says he’ll do whatever it takes.
Sonny returns to the table and finds Carly trying to reach Brennan. She’s worried that Anna and Jason are in trouble and has to figure this out. He tells her to go then. She gives him a peck on the cheek for show and heads out. Both Martin and Lucy notice it.
Lucy and Natalia are having a meeting, and Lucy tells her about Carly and Sonny’s history. Sonny soon catches Lucy gossiping about him and what happened in Nixon Falls. Sonny doesn’t mean to interrupt them but hoped he and Natalia could go over the plans for Deception. Lucy says they are done with their meeting, so she leaves, and Sonny takes her seat.
Natalia lets Sonny know that she’s learned the hard way that getting involved with a married man, or someone who is involved, is the best way to misery. She asks what is going on with his ex.
At another table, Diane tells Robert that she met the charming new WSB station chief Jack Brennan this morning. Robert warns her that Brennan is a heavy hitter, he knows where the bodies are buried and not to underestimate him as she may have met her match in him. She excuses herself when she notices Sonny sitting with Natalia.
Diane approaches Sonny and Natalia and asks Sonny what happened to Carly. Sonny and Diane head to the alcove, and Sonny explains Carly had to go and he was just having a meeting with his business associate Natalia. Diane yells at him that she just had this talk with Carly. His freedom relies on his alibi, so he and Carly must sell this. Sonny swears that Carly won’t let him down. Diane tells him to pray she doesn’t and storms off.
Sonny returns to Natalia and lets her know the answer to her question. He says he’s not involved with any of his exes or anyone else, but Carly will always be in his life. Natalia understands and says she has a complicated past that tends to scare people off. Sonny notes he’s not like most people. She has been reminded of another path to misery, and that’s getting involved with a man you work with. She thanks him for his honesty, and tells him goodnight.
Lucy spots Martin at the bar and approaches him. She compliments his make-over and asks how long he’s been in town. He reveals just for a few days, and that he was hired to represent Alexis. She asks if that’s why he hasn’t called her. Martin says he may have changed his looks a bit, but this new Martin doesn’t want to talk to her any more than the old one does. Lucy can’t believe he can say that to her. He says it’s surprisingly easy. He tells her, “Give my best to Scott Baldwin,” and walks off.
Tracy arrives and grabs a table on her own.
At the hospital, Liz tells Felicia that Lulu is running out of time. Felicia asks how she feels about Lucky coming home. Liz hasn’t sorted her feelings out, but she’s more concerned about Aiden, and he and Lucky barely know one another. She wants to protect Aiden from getting his heart broken if Lucky leaves again. Felicia thinks she may need to let Lucky and Aiden figure this out for themselves.
Felicia brings up Frisco, and how his leaving left her a mess. She doesn’t know what would have happened if he had returned before she got her life back together. Liz understands and says if not for her kids and the hospital she would have been a wreck when Lucky left. She also says Epiphany helped her through that time, and she eventually found herself, but isn’t sure Lucky ever did. She thinks he was always looking for something missing in himself. She says perhaps he’s changed, but she doesn’t know what she’ll do with Lucky back in town. Felicia says she made it through once, and she will again.
In Brennan’s office, he’s monitoring what’s happening in Africa. His co-worker, Collette, enters and asks Brennan what is happening. He tells her that three US citizens are being held in Jenz Sidwell’s compound, and he’s going to make sure they escape with their lives. Collette tells “the chief” that he doesn’t have that authority. Brennan calls in a drone strike, which shocks Collette, as they have no authority to be in that region. She asks what if the UN finds out. Brennan says he’ll be tried for war crimes. Collette asks about herself. He promises to say she tried to talk him out of this.
Carly arrives to find out how the search is going, as she’s worried. He reveals they are all in the compound and tells her about the drone strike he’s ordered to help them get out. They watch it happen through satellite images. He reveals a private jet is waiting for them, but they must get out of the compound and to the jet on their own, as he’s done all that he can.
In Sidwell’s compound, Holly holds a gun on Sidwell as Lucky frees himself. Sidwell smacks the gun out of Holly’s hands, and he and Lucky lunge for it. Lucky grabs it and aims it at Sidwell, who grabs Holly and puts a knife to her side. He wonders if Lucky is bluffing, but Lucky tells him, “Not this time, I have somewhere to be.” Holly stomps on Sidwell’s foot, and Lucky tackles him.
Holly runs off, and Sidwell pins Lucky to the table and begins strangling him while shouting, “She left you to die!
In their cell, Anna and Jason embrace. They look into one another’s eyes and hear the guards coming. Jason pulls her into a passionate kiss just as the guards appear. The guards say it seems like the two of them are saying goodbye. As they are led out, Anna and Jason jump the guards and struggle with them. Jason tells Anna to run, but she stays and fights.
Unfortunately, they lose the fight, are dragged outside, and told to get on their knees. They do, and the guards aim their guns. Suddenly, the drone strike hits, and the blasts blow back Anna and Jason.
Two of the guards flee, and Jason and Anna get up. Jason grabs a gun off one of the dead guards, and Anna gets a key to uncuff them. Jason asks Anna if this is who he thinks it is, and she confirms it’s the WSB. They both arm themselves and head into the compound.
Jason and Anna head into the game room, and Jason smacks Sidwell over the head with his gun and knocks him out, saving Lucky. Anna asks where Holly is, and Lucky says he has no idea. Anna warns them they must get out before this entire place is blown up, so the three of them flee.
They make it outside, and Lucky asks if anyone has a plan. Suddenly a jeep pulls up and Holly is driving. She yells at them to get in, and they do. Anna tells her to head to the airfield.
On the WSB plane, Jason tells Lucky his friend Isaiah told them where he was. Lucky knew he’d make it back to Port Charles.
Anna tells Holly she did good in securing that jeep and that she could have left without them. Holly reminds her she was not going to tell Robert that she left her behind to die.
Anna checks on Lucky and tells him that Kevin and Laura were also looking for him, and they made it to the last compound he was at. Lucky asks about Lulu.
Back in Port Charles, Brennan tells Carly that Jason, Anna and Lucky are on the plane, but there is a fourth mysterious passenger with them. However, they still aren’t safe, as they are in prohibited airspace and could be shot down. Carly panics, but Brennan says this pilot has been through this many times before. Eventually, Brennan receives news that they’ve made it into international airspace. Carly embraces him, and he embraces her back.
At the burning compound, Sidwell tells a man to find a car. He is going after Holly, who has his diamond.
On the plane, Holly looks in her purse which has the diamond she stole.
Meanwhile, Anna explains to Lucky that Lulu’s liver is failing, and because she’s been in a coma, she isn’t eligible for a donation. She says Nickolas’ liver wasn’t healthy enough, so Lucky is it. Lucky says he needs to make a call.
Back at the hospital, Liz answers the phone, shocked to hear that it is Lucky calling. He is just as surprised that she is who answered.
Next on General Hospital, Curtis asks Nina what is going on. Terry wonders if Lucky coming back is a good thing or a bad thing for Liz. Lucky sits with Lulu and thinks he could have stopped all of this from happening. Brennan asks Robert how worried he should be about Holly. Mac tells Holly, “You are right, I don’t believe you.” Anna admits to Felicia that this mission was more than she had expected. Carly tells Jason, “That’s a name I wasn’t expecting to hear.”
