The times, they are a changin’ for Days of Our Lives. In the past year, the show’s gotten new headwriters, lost beloved longtime cast member Bill Hayes (Doug), said farewell to Nicole after decades and is building towards its milestone 60th anniversary. So you’ll forgive us if we’re just a little eager to find out what else is heading our way now that Days of Our Lives has officially announced this year’s big Day of Days event.

And this year’s Day of Days promises to be bigger and better than ever. It’s all taking place on on November 2nd at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. And for one thing, the show’s touting it as celebrating the start of the Peacock sudser’s 60th anniversary in 2025.

For another, it will be the first fan event since Days of Our Lives announced its new writing team with Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford as co-headwriters, and will probably be the first chance we get to find out what they have in store for us. Though the new headwriters have not been touted as appearing just yet, the show has promised “some exciting surprises,” and we’re going to guess that it will once again debut its season preview video!

Plus, there will be PLENTY of Salemites there. Get ready for a name-a-palooza because Days of Our Lives has announced that a few of those in attendance are: Josh Taylor, James Reynolds, Eric Martsolf, Deidre Hall, Robert Scott Wilson, Paul Telfer, Stephen Nichols, Billy Flynn, Galen Gering, Jackée Harry, Raven Bowens, Dan Feuerriegel, Carson Boatman, Elia Cantu, Abigail Klein, Linsey Godfrey, Ashley Puzemis, Leo Howard, Cherie Jimenez, Susan Hayes, Al Calderon, Martha Madison, Brandon Beemer, Stacy Haiduk, Wally Kurth, Judi Evans, Tina Huang, Casey Moss, John Paul Lavoisier, Lamon Archey, Sal Stowers, Kennedy Garcia, Colton Little, Brandon Barash.

Whew! We know, i’s a lot to take in, but there are a few names that have definitely caught our eye. Because this year’s fall preview has someone contesting Victor’s will, and with Lavoisier on the list, we have to wonder if Philip will be back to fight for his inheritance. Then there’s Archey and Stowers, and if that means more Lani and Eli, then we’ll take it! It may also be our first chance to meet Al Calderon, who’s debuting this fall as Rafe and Gabi’s cousin.

And Madison and Beemer will both be back for the 15,000th episode celebration, so we can pretty much guarantee a preview of that, along with the farewell to Bill Hayes and Doug. And maybe Shawn and Belle will be sticking around beyond that? Please? Pretty please?

That’s something fans can ask the actors themselves during the Q&A, or maybe try during the autograph signings! The fan event is, as always, free, and this year they’ve announced that for the first time ever, they’ll be selling celebratory Days of Our Lives merchandise. So you can take home a little piece of Salem for yourselves! Fingers crossed there are plenty of hourglasses.
