It’s a big mystery. Lately, the Newman family seems to be missing at least two (or three) of its sons on The Young and the Restless.
What Happened To Reed And Noah?
Although Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) have significant storylines right now, their sons are missing. Reed, who was last portrayed by Tristan Lake Leabu, and Noah (Rory Gibson) are gone for parts unknown (or perhaps it’s Telluride and Paris, respectively). Not to mention, Christian hasn’t been seen in years.
It’s somewhat hard to believe that Claire (Hayley Erin) turned out to be Victoria’s long-lost daughter, and Reed hasn’t returned to Genoa City to meet her. We’ve enjoyed seeing Katie (Sienna Mercuri) and Johnny (Paxton Mishkind) around more since they returned from boarding school. However, this storyline could certainly use Reed, and if it came in the form of Leabu, it would be even better.
Meanwhile, Sharon is having significant mental issues. Nick has enlisted Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Faith (Reylynn Caster) to help, but it is a bit strange that he hasn’t even called Noah about Sharon. We’d love to see him come back to town and bring Allie (Kelsey Wang) while he’s at it. The two are off in Paris, but we believe Noah would want to be there to help his mom through this crisis. Plus, we want to know what’s happened to his Glam Club. The last we heard, The Grand Phoenix was getting remodeled, but surely it’s finished now.
Genoa City’s Missing Children
Certainly, there are other missing children on Y&R. Lily’s (Christel Khalil) twins are gone, but she’s mentioned them and even been on the phone with them. It seems like Victoria may have referred to Reed once in recent memory, but we’d love to see him visit. We’re missing these pretty significant members of the Newman family. It’s time to bring these legacy characters back to Genoa City.
