Bold & Beautiful Boss Issues an Ominous Warning: ‘I’m Going to Kill More People’
Bold & Beautiful executive producer/headwriter Bradley Bell may have a slight case of bloodlust. In the wake of the “Who murdered Tom Starr and Hollis the Waiter?” murder mystery, he spoke with our sister site Deadline and noted that “you have to kill them every once in a while in order to keep your credibility as a writer.
“And I promise myself every year,” he added, “I’m going to kill more people.” Yikes!
Dead Serious
Historically, Bold & Beautiful doesn’t deal in “grave” matters often. Sure, when Susan Flannery retired, queen bee Stephanie Forrester was sent to that big hive in the hereafter. But day in and day out, the show buries relationships more often than people.
Even when Bell does stick a toe tag on a character, it’s generally removable. Bobbie Eakes’ Macy Alexander came back from the dead, only to be killed a second time. Lesli Kay’s Felicia Forrester had a death certificate that was written in pencil. Sheila Carter looked to have dispatched Steffy Forrester, Finn Finnegan and Li Finnegan, but victim No. 1 survived, and the other two were later revealed to be fake-outs.
Don’t even get us started trying to count the number of premature funerals Taylor Hayes has had!
Special Guest Star: The Grim Reaper
