Cue the ominonous music as Finn wanders around Bill’s living room, muttering to himself like a Days of Our Lives character. Steffy’s missing and he’s sure that something’s wrong, because this isn’t like her at all. Bill enters and the two talk about the fact that Luna isn’t Bill’s daughter. “It was quite a shock, but I could never dream of kicking her out,” Bill says, adding that he needs to be sensitive and cautious given everything she’s been through. Finn asks exactly what he means by that, adding that he got a weird vibe off Luna, and that something seemed off. Reluctantly, Bill shares that Luna kissed him. Bill tries to rationalize that his former-daughter-if-only-for-five-minutes was clutching at anything because her life is falling apart. Bill says he and Luna talked about it and he thought she knew it was completely inappropriate… until she planted a second liplock on him!
“I’ve always known my cousin to be sweet and innocent,” says Finn. “This is definitely not like her!” Bill suggests this bad behavior has been caused by everything which has happened of late, including Poppy’s arrest. He adds that he invited Luna to stay because her apartment is being destroyed. Getting back to the topic at hand, Finn says Bill may have been the last person to see Steffy. As they’re talking, Finn’s phone beeps. He realizes that a walkie-talkie app he and Steffy use has activated. Within seconds, they find Steffy’s phone and realize there’s no way she’d leave town without it!
Finn says he has a bad feeling, given that he got a call from the wellness center saying Steffy never showed up. “She didn’t leave, Bill… she’s missing!” Finn asks Bill to keep an eye on Luna then dashes out.
As Ridge continues trying to text Steffy — but gets no response — R.J. assures him everything will be fine. R.J. points out that Ridge has told him in the past that a watched phone never rings or something to that effect. Both agree they’d love to have Steffy barge in and start issuing orders or ribbing them. Ridge declares that making Steffy co-CEO was a brilliant move, adding she was “hanging around like she owned the place” anyways. R.J. says she’s “the Forrester badass boss-lady.” (I can already see the memes being made by fans! Don’t y’all disappoint me!)
Luna paces in her soon-to-be-destroyed apartment, looking at a caged and sleeping Steffy, who wakes up and begs her captor for help. Steffy once again confronts Luna about the murders, prompting the younger woman to say that nothing and no one will stand in her way… especially Steffy! (We pause this recap to once again ask the obvious question: If Luna was willing to kill Tom and Hollis, why not just do away with Steffy as opposed to locking her in a cage?)
“Luna, think about your mom. She’s in a prison cell! Do you really want her there for the rest of your life?” asks Steffy. But Luna kinda sorta says her mom is to blame for everything that’s happened because of the life and lifestyle she led. Steffy also asks Luna if she wants to hurt R.J., who clearly loves her. “He’s just a boy, though, isn’t he?” asks Luna, who then admits she had the best sex of her life recently… but not with R.J. She then reveals the jaw-dropping news that her “accidental” night with Zende wasn’t an accident after all!
“Your brother fell for it! He believed my story about my hippie mom and her drugs being the reason I accidentally landed in his cousin’s bed!” Zende, she says, believed her too. “I wasn’t even on drugs,” she reveals. “I knew Zende would be perfect for the part I needed him to play.” Steffy muses that Luna used the drugs to kill Tom and Hollis. “You act like those two men were such a loss!” Yes, she killed them. She says they stood in the way of what she deserves… a rich, powerful, sexy man like Bill Spencer! Steffy calls Luna a psycho, prompting Luna to justify her actions. “It all started with the plan of making Bill Spencer my dad,” she shares. And it was all working until Tom showed up. So she killed him and Hollis. But when Poppy was arrested, Luna changed tactics. “Bill saw me as this sweet, innocent daughter. And now he’s going to see me as the new, much-younger woman in his life!” Steffy insists Bill will never fall for it, but Luna’s unswayed. “Believe me when I say this, Steffy: I will be living in the Spencer estate while you rot away in this cage until the building gets demolished with you in it!”
Li arrives at Finn’s office, and he suggests to his mom that Luna has something to do with Steffy’s vanishing act. Finn lays out his theory about Luna, and the conversation he recentlyoverheard in which it sounded as if his cousin was making a romantic play for Bill. He adds that when she realized he was there, something changed. “I could see there was something in her eyes that she couldn’t hide from me. She is different, mom!” That’s why he wanted to see Li… she knows Poppy and Luna better than anyone. Does she really believe Poppy could be guilty of murder? Li admits she doesn’t… prompting Finn to point the finger at Luna. “I have a sick feeling that Luna has something to do with Steffy’s disappearance!”
Meanwhile, an increasingly weak and desperate Steffy slams her fists against the cage, begging a totally indifferent Luna to set her free.
