General Hospital Preview: A Devastating Diagnosis, a Bittersweet Reunion, and What’s That Sound? Aw, Crap, the Clock’s Ticking!

Time is running out for Lulu Spencer, aka the Sleeping Beauty of General Hospital. In the preview for the week of August 26, Portia delivers a devastating diagnosis that hints at a special guest appearance by the Grim Reaper. “She needs a miracle,” the doctor says.

Big brother Lucky could be that miracle if he turns out to be the donor match who could share with his sibling a slice of his liver. “The problem is,” Laura explains to Portia, “we don’t know where Lucky is.”

Something tells us that Mom will find out soon. Also in the sneak peek at the episodes to come, Laura pays a visit to Nikolas, who sensibly suggests that they locate his half brother, stat. And where is Lucky? He’s being held prisoner. But by whom?

As always, the Cassadines are a safe bet. But to what end would they be keeping Lucky locked up at the moment? And which of them would be doing so? Helena and Victor are dead, and Valentin has an altogether different set of problems to contend with.

Could Cesar Faison have risen from the grave to torment Port Charles anew? Or maybe Lucky’s captivity has something to do with the returning Holly Sutton’s efforts to bail son Ethan out of hot water? Would she replace her offspring in the hot seat with old flame Luke and Laura’s?
