The Young and the Restless Next 2 Weeks: Engagement Ring, Claire Causes Drama, Adam Consoles Sally & Doomed Party
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the next two weeks, August 5 to August 16, reveal that we’ll see an anniversary surprise and some custody drama. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will delight Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) as they celebrate one year of marriage, but they’ll remain concerned about Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) intentions.
Summer will be adamant about going after sole custody of Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell), but Jack will want to help her make peace with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) before it comes to that.
Although Jack will carry out a plan during the week of August 5-9, it won’t turn out as well as he hoped!
That may be partly due to Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) since he’ll stir up more tension between Summer and Kyle soon enough.
Harrison will apparently get hurt when Summer is supposed to be watching him, so Claire may get in touch with Kyle and provide some updates.
When Kyle catches the first flight home and demands answers, Summer may act like he’s blowing things out of proportion and blame Claire for tattling to him.
Next, Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will land in a tricky situation when she catches Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) with alcohol.
Lucy may beg Faith to chill and keep this a secret from her parents, but will Faith understand how serious it is and blab anyway?
Regardless, Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) will fret to Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) about some of Lucy’s deception lately and worry about the trouble she could get into.
As for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), she’ll have more showdowns with Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) – at least in her own mind.
Cameron will use the past to rattle Sharon and push her down a risky path while she’s unmedicated.
Other Y&R spoilers say Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will reflect on a distressing time in her life.
We’ll see Sally struggle with some sorrow as tough memories flood back, so this may be about losing Ava Spectra.
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will do his best to console Sally and may feel the same sting of that loss if this is indeed about their deceased baby girl.
Of course, Adam will also have to devote some attention to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) since it’s time for the latter to come home.
Connor will no doubt have an adjustment period, but he’ll continue his treatment and therapy so he can hopefully stay on the right track.
After some conflict with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will wonder if her decision to partner up with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) was the right call.
When Billy does a sudden about-face on something later, that could give Lily another reason to get fed up with his impulsive behavior.
Back with Victor, he’ll use his connections to help Summer, so she may follow through on her plan to turn to him for custody assistance if need be.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will also pop up for some fierce faceoffs – first with Sharon and later with Diane.
It’s easy for buttons to get pushed and lines to get crossed whenever Phylis is interacting with old rivals!
On a happier note, Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) will get Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) a ring and offer up a more official proposal during a picnic in the park.
Abby will happily accept again and become even more eager to tie the knot.
During the week of August 12-16, there should be some Abbott-Chancellor launch party developments.
Billy wants to have a big bash and send a message to Victor about his confidence level, so he may insist on throwing this celebration together ASAP.
That could spell trouble for Adam and Chelsea since events like this often lead to secrets getting exposed.
Chelsea and Adam are trying to keep a lid on their Baltimore hookup, but they may not be able to keep it quiet for much longer.
Whatever the case, this Abbott-Chancellor party may be doomed one way or another.
Victor could also target it somehow and perhaps cause a public media spectacle that’ll make Billy look bad.
As for Sharon, her mental state will become even more disturbing due to her Cameron visions and the twisted things he’ll pressure her to do.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon will spin out in some scary ways, so we’ll pass along more predictions on how far she’ll go and the devastating news that could be looming.
